Guidelines and Prizes: To
qualify for Bernardin prizes, all winning competition entries – home canned
foods – must have been submitted in mason jars with properly sealed two-piece
metal SNAP Lids. (Regular gold
BERNARDIN SNAP Lids and colorful Bernardin Collection Ellite SNAP Lids are
equally acceptable for competition. Unsealed
jars, items with lug caps or wax seals are unacceptable.
Mason jars are specifically designed for home canning.)
