Congratulations to
Georgina Anderson

who will be inducted into the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame as a builder at a dinner on May 2, 2010, in Winnipeg.
Georgina was one of the volunteers who worked towards amalgamating the provincial men's and women's curling associations into one organization, now called Curl Manitoba, and was the first female president of the Manitoba Curling Association in 2001-02.  After serving as MCA president, she moved to the Canadian Curling Association board from 2003-2008 when she helped guide the CCA through challenging fiscal times.  While much of her curling accomplishments were in the boardroom, Gerogina qualified for the 1993 Manitoba Scott Tournament of Hearts as lead on the Bev Atkins Manitoba based team, going 0-2 in the modified double-knockout bonspiel eventually won by Brandon's Lois Fowler.  She also coached her daughter Farrah Anderson to the 1996 provincial junior championship's B-semifinal.
