Old Business
3.1    Rodeo Update - $3,200 in sponsorship has been committed with a bit more still to come.  Work party is scheduled for June 28, 2005.

3.2    125th Update - Glen provided an update from the May 30th committee head meeting and all seems to be in order.  Additional insurance is required for the fireworks and we will have to pay $250.00 to cover that.  Tent will be set up on Thursday night.  Parade has 70 plus entries confirmed.  15 vehicles are confirmed for the car show.

3.3    CDC Restructuring - Still in progress

3.4    Day Care Update - 22 surveys were returned and the results were very positive.  7 people stated they would be interested in sitting on a day care board.  There will be a meeting set up with the interested committee members and Sandra Smith, day care coordinator for the ARHA.

3.5    Home Town Manitoba Project - Because the Legion agreed to spruce up the cenotaph we changed the project to be for town signage.  The 1st set of letters are done and Norbert's are going to put them on a flat deck and display them in the parade.  The foundation is going to put $1,500 towards the sign.  The tourism budget is $3,500 per year and to date we have spent $800.

3.6    Immigration - It doesn't sound like enough communities are going to sign up with Prairie Practitioners to get a survey done up as Souris has said no and Killarney is on the fence.  It was agreed we should consider calling the Winkler CDC and see how they went about bringing business people to their community.

3.7    Walking Paths - Still In Progress

3.8    Highway Restrictions - Earl did some investigating as to whether there was anything more we as a CDC could do to get road restrictions changed and at this time there is not many options available.  Earl will keep his ears open and we will bring this item back on the agenda if it is required.

3.9    Development Officer Position - Glen spoke to the Mayor and he stated the Recreation District would be having a meeting in early July to start the advertising process.  He asked for a representative from the CDC to sit in on the Selection Process and it was agreed to forward the name of the chairman to the Selection Committee.

Treasurer's Report - Joan reported that we have $5,000 in the bank account. We are still showing a tiny surplus for this year.  There is potentially another $650 coming in the form of a grant for the high speed project.
Joan MOVED the financial statements as presented.  SECONDED by Earnestine.
CARRIED.

Correspondence -
5.1    - Letter from the Carberry CDC regarding establishing a committee between Glenboro, Carberry and Wawanesa to advertise the park, museum's and other historical sites.  There is provincial funding available.  The museum committee already received a letter and they will be sending a representative.  Earnestine volunteered and the new Economic Development
Officer will also be asked to sit on the committee

5.2    Letter from the Fairgrounds committee requesting a short term loan from the RM, Village and CDC to purchase a 2nd set of bleachers.  They will do fundraising over the winter and will have another ball tourney next year to pay back the loan.  MOVED by Earl that we loan the Fairgrounds committee
$700 to purchase the 2nd set of Bleachers with funds to be paid back as they are available.  SECONDED by Earnestine.  CARRIED.

Committee Reports
6.1    Properties - They have discussed replacing all the tables and chairs and the total cost to replace them with ones similar to the Royal Oak Inn would be $25,000.  They are looking for other prices and fundraisers to pay for them.  New gravel is in place at the hall.

6.2    Agriculture - No meeting.

6.3    Tourism - No Report

6.4    Museum - They are ready for the anniversary.  Lindsey Craig has been hired as the summer student.  Bought a gazebo for outside.

6.5    Mercantile/Promotions - No committee in place at this time.

6.6    Economic Development - Items covered under old business.  Brittany Cullen has been hired for the summer.

New Business
7.1    Town Square - Requested water so they can water the flowers in the park by the Coop.  Earl MOVED that we finance any costs associated with getting water supplied to the park.  SECONDED by Joan.  CARRIED.
