of Feb 27th /08 Held
at the Community Hall Present:

Meeting was
called to order at 7:00 pm. 2.
Approval of Minutes from Jan 30th, 2007.

4. Old Business 4.1 Town
Signs: Have been in contact with MTS regarding the property for the second sign.
The existing Glenboro sign will be painted yellow. Quotes were received for the
cost of lighting. 4.2 Review
of the Round Table Report: A Community Survey will be sent out and hopefully we
will receive enough back to be able to form a work plan. 4.3 Training
Assistance: One person is signed up for the E.M.Training at this time. 4.4 Peter
Sawatzky Commission: We are still waiting on a response from three corporations. 4.5 Public
Washrooms: Further discussion
was held on this possibility. 5. Correspondence 5.1 None 6. New Business 6.1 Annual General Meeting: The Supper/Meeting
will be held on March 5th, 2008 at the Hall. The 4-H Club is organizing the Pot Luck and calling members
of the Community if extra items are required.
They will be raising funds by having a dessert auction. 7. New Business 7.1 Properties:
Hall: Hall
rent was discussed. A motion was
made that rent will be charged to all users of the Hall unless it is a function
hosted by the GCDC. Earl/Joan.
Carried The Community Places Grant
application has been sent in to assist in paying for the re-shingling of the
Hall.
An Ad was place in this week’s Gazette regarding the “Buy-A-Bundle”
donation program. These donations
may be made at the Glenboro Village Office.
The Hall Committee is excepting tenders for Hall Manager, duties to
commence May 1, 2008. Theatre: The
new fire alarm system has been installed. Camel Park & Signage: No Report. 7.2 Museum:
We are doing cleaning to get ready to open in May. We will be working the Bonspiel concession again this year.
Most of our grants are filled out and sent. 7.3 Business
and Industry: Ag day will be March 19th, 2008.

Economic Development Officer:
The RCMP Musical Ride has been confirmed for Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
It was decided that this become a community group effort as it will take
a lot of man power to host this event properly.
