Development Corporation Minutes of the Executive
Meeting Held on Wednesday, March 26th,
2008 Present: Curtis Wytinck, Earl

Meeting was called
to order at 7:15 pm 2.

Old Business: 4.1
Town Signs – It
has been decided to repaint the signs a vibrant yellow.
The second sign will also be painted and positioned on a trailer so it
may be placed until a permanent location has been secured. 4.2
Round Table Report/Work Plan
– To date 45 surveys have been received.
Results will be tabulated so we may see which direction the community
would like to see the committees proceed. 4.3
Peter Sawatzky Commission
– Letters will be written to the corporations that have not replied as of yet. 4.4
Public Washrooms
– The committee will look into the cost of either renting or purchasing a
portable washroom for the present time. 4.5
Annual General Meeting
– Although the attendance was down, it was a very enjoyable evening. Thank you
to the 4-H Variety Club for a wonderful supper and superb desserts. 5.

Glenboro
Children’s Learning Centre Inc. – A letter was received inviting us to their
Grand Opening Ceremonies which will be held on April 16th at 7:00 pm
in the Glenboro School Theatre. 6.
New Business: 6.1
Budget –
Committee budgets were presented to the Executive by the treasurer. 6.2
New Members –
All committees welcome new members. New
members should choose a committee to join.

Committee Reports 7.1
Properties Committee:
Grant forms have been sent in for the re-shingling of the Hall and Invitations
to Tender have been sent out. Donations
for the shingles are being taken at the Village office. 7.2
Museum Committee:
The museum committee will once again be running the food booth upstairs
in the Rink for the upcoming Bonspiel. 7.3
Business & Industry Committee:
Ag Day, which was held on March 19th, was once again a great
success. 7.4
Economic Development Officer:
A committee has been established to implement all of the work that will
go along with hosting the RCMP Musical Ride on August 13th.
