of February, 25th, 2009 Held
at the Village/RM Office Present:
Earl Malyon, Chris Tanasichuk, Ernestine Sepke,
Moray Jamieson, Rob Gudnason and Curtis Wytinck Regrets:

Meeting was
called to order at 7:40 pm. 2.
Approval of Minutes from Dec 3rd /08 & January 7th
/09.

4. Correspondence 4.1
Letter from GCLCI regarding donation.
A donation is to be made in the amount of $170.00 Earl/Curtis carried

Letter from Glenboro Ag Society regarding donation for printing of the
fair book. The GCDC will donate the same amount as previous years. 4.3
Friends of Spruce Woods newsletter and membership request. A $15 membership will be sent. 4.4
Letter from Tiger Hills Festival of the Arts regarding Rose Bowl.
The GCDC will once again sponsor the Rose Bowl for the upcoming Festival.
5. Old Business 5.1 Annual
Meeting – It was a great evening. 5.2 Town
Signs – A temporary site will be determined for the second sign until
property can be secured. 5.3 Tables
at Community Hall – Extra wooden tables will be moved to the Hall and
stored under the stage. 5.4 Reprint
of Beneath the Long Grass – Two quotes were presented for a reprint.
The GCDC will order 100 copies from Derksen Printers Ltd. at a cost of
$8228.64. Rob/ Earl

Manitoba - A grant application will be submitted to replace the sign by
Sara. 6. New Business 6.1
Signing Authority - The new signing officers be Curtis Wytinck,
Chris Tanasichuk, and Ernestine Sepke with any two to sign.

Manitoba Homecoming 2010 -
Chris will write a letter to other organizations and have a meeting to assess
interest in a Homecoming and Community Auction. 6.3
Bingo Worker Registry – An
ad will be placed in the Gazette to gather names of residents that are willing
to help out ANY organization that has been approved for a Manitoba Community
Service Council Grant and has been awarded the opportunity to work a Bingo at
one of the Winnipeg Casinos. This
central registry may encourage more groups to apply for this very important
funding. 7. Committee
Reports 7.1 Properties:
Monthly progress was discussed. The committee has travelled to
Winnipeg to work one bingo and are awaiting word on the second. 7.2 Business
and Industry: Monthly progress was discussed. 7.3 Museum:
The committee has been discussing
reorganizing the displays to make more room.
A special event is being planned for May12th, 2009, Manitoba Day.
