Minutes of June 24th, 2009

Held at the Glenboro Village/RM Office

 

Present:            Chris Tanasichuk, Ernestine Sepke, Earl Malyon, Moray  Jamieson, Wayne Davidson, Penny Johnson

 1.                  Meeting was called to order by Earl at 7:00 pm.

 2.            Approval of Minutes from April 22nd, May 20, 2009             Moray/Wayne Carried

 3.            Approval of Treasurer's Report as presented.                           Chris/Moray Carried        

4.            Correspondence

            4.1 Email - L. Moore  

5.         Old Business 

5.1            Town Signs – The Juniper bushes are ready to put in by the base of the Glenboro sign.   

5.2            Tables at Hall - Five wooden tables were purchased.

            5.3            Manitoba Homecoming 2010 -Ideas were discussed

5.4            EMT Training - Five people have completed their course.  Advertising will come out in July for the next session starting in September. 

6.         New Business 

            6.1       Town Square Memory Garden – The GCDC will make a donation in the amount    of $50 in memory of past GCDC members.             Wayne/Moray  Carried   

            6.2            CWL Program update

           7.1             Properties:  Water softener has been installed.         

7.2            Business and Industry:   General Discussion 

7.3            Museum - New brochures have been ordered.  We have hired two students this year.  Joe Rimmer for Sunday & Monday from 1 - 4 pm Joe will be working on creating a virtual tour of our museum that would be available on the internet.  James Abbey has been hired as our full time summer student and will be working Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.

            History books are in so people can come and pick them up during open hours.  We are also having hamburger days on June 26th, July 9th & 23rd, Aug 6th & 20th.
