Glenboro CDC Survey Results February 11th, 2002 The GCDC drafted a survey to mail to all Glenboro residents in conjunction with the 2002-membership letter. The purpose of this exercise was to gather feedback from the community on a variety of issues. Approximately 500 surveys were mailed to all residents in the Village and R.M. of South Cypress. Of those, 26 were returned, or 5.2% of those circulated. As requested, the GCDC included a question in the survey pertaining to Natural Gas. The question read: "Do you support the Village of Glenboro and the R.M. of South Cypress’s participation with the Heartland Gas Initiative? Do you support the notion of bringing Natural Gas to the Village and Municipality?" Responses: Yes 8 * Fix sidewalks in disrepair * Tear down old buildings not in use * Remove obsolete business signs in town and on highway * Business attraction: Lumber Yard and Clothing Store were mentioned * Mercantile Committee and Tourism Committee need to be more active in the community * Good customer service for businesses is
