that the minutes of the last regular meeting of Council held on Tuesday August
8, 2006 be taken as read and approved, all statutory requirements having been
fulfilled. “carried” #7587
W. R. Cullen – L. J. Berry RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural
Municipality of South Cypress authorize the payment of fiscal year 2006 accounts
from cheque #3657 to and including cheque #3711, as submitted to Council by the
Municipal Administrator. “carried” #7588 W. R. Cullen – W. J. Mooney RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress confirm the March 30, 1998 authorization given to Keller Farms Ltd. of Carberry, Manitoba to bury water irrigation pipelines under the following Municipal roads: Between Section 30 and Section 31 in Township 8, Rage 16W1; Between Section 31 and Section 31 in Township 8, Rage 16W1; Between Section 31-8-16W1 and Between Section 6-9-16W1; And, between Section 31-8-16W1 and Section 5-9-16W1; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that it is
understood by both parties that all necessary work and materials was and
continues to be the responsibility of the applicant with the installation and
existing pipeline requiring the continual approval of the Council. “carried” #7589 J. S. Hamilton – L. J. Berry RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress authorize the rental of a Valmet 8550 4WD (170 hp) tractor from H & L Motors Ltd. of Glenboro, Manitoba for up to 200 hours of use during the 2006 Municipal fall grass-mowing season. “carried” #7590
L. E. Coates – W. J. Mooney RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress appoint Councillor Leonard J. Berry and Municipal Resident/Ratepayer Luella Outhwaite to act on the Board of the Glenboro/Wawanesa/South Cypress District Handi Transit Committee for the term September 12, 2006 to November 14, 2006. “carried” #7591

RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress amend paragraph 1. of the August 8th, 2006 Firefighting Agreement with the Village of Wawanesa, being Appendix “A” of Municipal By-Law #1800, to read as follows: Clause 1. The Village of Wawanesa agrees that, when requested to do so, it will dispatch a Pumper Fire Fighting Vehicle and not less than five firefighters of the Wawanesa Fire Department, or at the discretion of the Wawanesa Fire Chief, a lesser number of firefighters depending on the situation, to attend at and fight a fire, which occurs within the geographical limits of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress. And it is further understood and agreed between the parties hereto that if supplementary resources are required such as water trucks, bulldozers, graders etc., the Rural Municipality of South Cypress will supply, at its costs, such additional equipment. “carried” #7592 W. that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress authorize a
Municipal Administrative Staff member to attend the Manitoba Municipal
Administrators Association District 2 Meeting, which is to be held at Baldur,
Manitoba on Monday, September 18, 2006. “carried” #7593 W. R. Cullen - L. J. Berry RESOLVED
that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress authorize
Municipal/Village Administrative Assistant, Maureena McPhail, to attend the
Compumaster “Microsoft Excel Software Workshop” being held in Winnipeg,
Manitoba on Thursday October 19, 2006. “carried” #7594
L. E. Coates – W. J. Mooney RESOLVED that the Property Assessments
as listed under Schedule “B” and “D” be added to the R. M. of South
Cypress’ 2006 Assessment Roll under the authority of Section 321(1) of the
Municipal Act; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the
additional taxes thereon as set out in Schedule “C” and “E” be added to
their respective property within the Rural Municipality of South Cypress, as
added taxes for year 2006 under the authority of Section 321(1) of the Municipal
Act. “carried” #7595 J. S. Hamilton – L. J. Berry RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural
Municipality of South Cypress do now adjourn @ 11:40 a.m., to convene again at
the next regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. “carried”
