Minutes of a "Special Meeting" of the 2003/2004 Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress held in the Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue, Glenboro, Manitoba on Thursday February 19, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. Notice was given in conformity with Section 145(2) of The Municipal Act. Present at the Meeting: Councillors Leonard J. Berry, John S. Hamilton, Lloyd E. Coates, W. Jack Mooney, Walter R. Cullen, Public Works Foreman, Edwin Berry and Chief Administrative Officer, Eric Plaetinck. Deputy Reeve John S. Hamilton, in the chair, called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. The meeting was called for the purpose of interviewing a selected number of candidates who had applied for the position of Seasonal Municipal Grader Operator.
# 7008 L. E. Coates – L. J. Berry RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress appoint Mr. Paul Wilton of Glenboro, Manitoba as Municipal Grader Operator for the 2004 season as per terms and conditions to be specified in his 2004 Employment Agreement, AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT Mr. Wilton’s term of employment commence in the Spring, 2004, for a continuous period (50 hours of work per week) until winter freeze up in the fall of 2004,
AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the entire 2004 employment term be recognized as Mr. Wilton’s initial probationary period and upon satisfactory completion of same he shall be appointed as permanent seasonal Grader Operator. "carried"
#7009 J. S. Hamilton – W. J. Mooney RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress do now adjourn @ 11:45 a.m., to convene again at the next regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. "carried"
