Minutes of a “Special Meeting” of the 2008/2009 Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress held in the Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue, Glenboro, Manitoba on Wednesday March 4, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. Notice was given in conformity with Section 145(2) of The Municipal Act. Present at the Meeting: Earl E. Malyon, Councillors Leonard J. Berry, John S. Hamilton, Lloyd E. Coates, Leonard K. Plett, Walter R. Cullen and Chief Administrative Officer, Eric Plaetinck. Municipal Foreman, Allan Bartram in attendance for the duration of the meeting, Reeve Earl E. Malyon, in the chair, called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. The meeting was called for the purpose of interviewing the following selected candidates who had applied for the position of seasonal Municipal Grader Operator and also for Council to confirm and finalize the acquisition of a new tractor for the Municipality’s mowing and rotor-tilling operations. AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT Mr. Neale’s term of employment commence in the Spring, 2009, for a continuous period (50 hours of work per week) until winter freeze up in the fall of 2009, AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the entire 2009 employment term be recognized as Mr. Neale’s initial probationary period and upon satisfactory completion of same he shall be considered as a permanent seasonal Municipal Heavy Equipment Operator. “carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress authorize the purchase a new 2009 New Holland T7030 Tractor serial #Z7BG02245 c/w 2/4 year 2,000 hr. full/powertrain warranty, from MazerGroup of Brandon, Manitoba for and at the quoted purchase price as per further particulars specified in the February 23, 2009 quote sheet. “carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress do now adjourn @ 10:05 a.m., to convene again at the next regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. “carried” |
