Minutes of a “Special Meeting” of the 2010/2011 Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress held in the Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue, Glenboro, Manitoba on Tuesday April 5th, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Notice was given in conformity
with Section 145(2) of The Municipal Act. Present at the Meeting, Reeve Earl E.
Malyon, Councillors Glenn I. Dowd, Lloyd E. Coates, Leonard K. Plett, Walter R.
Cullen, Chief Administrative Officer, Eric Plaetinck and Assistant CAO, Maureena
McPhail. Reeve Earl E. Malyon, presiding, called
the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
The Meeting was called to deal with the following matters: 1.
Setting and adopting the Municipal Budgeted Operating Expenditures for
fiscal year 2011. 2.
Setting and adopting of the Municipal 5 Year Capital Expenditure Program. A detailed analysis of each and every individual revenue and expenditure account of the Municipality was undertaken by the Council, the Chief Administrative Officer and the Assistant CAO, throughout the course of the day’s meeting, with an estimated amount set for each account for fiscal year 2011. Upon conclusion of same Council agreed that a Municipal Financial Plan for the fiscal year 2011 will be presented at a public meeting on Tuesday April 12th, 2011 at 11:30 a.m., which will reflect a total 2011 Municipal mill rate of 10.94 mills (an increase of 1.9%). RESOLVED that the Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress do now adjourn @ 12:20 p.m., to convene again at the next regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. “carried”
