Minutes of the third regular meeting of
the 2001/2002 Council of the Rural Municipality of South Cypress held in the
Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue, Glenboro, Manitoba on Tuesday,
January 8, 2002 at 9:00 a.m.
Present at the Meeting, Reeve Earl E.
Malyon, Councillors Leonard J. Berry, John S. Hamilton, Lloyd E. Coates, W. Jack
Mooney, James B. Clark and Chief Administrative Officer, Eric Plaetinck.
Reeve Earl E. Malyon, in the chair,
called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
During the meeting, at the time
indicated, Council met with the following delegations.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the
last regular meeting of Council held on Tuesday December 11, 2001 be taken
as read and approved, all statutory requirements having been fulfilled.

Rural Municipality of South Cypress authorize the payment of fiscal year
2001 accounts from cheque #224 to and including cheque #276, as submitted to

GMC SL 2500 pickup truck serial number 1GTGK24K4RE586858, to the
Glenboro-South Cypress Weed Control District for and at the total price of
$10,000.00 plus applicable taxes, in "As-is, Where-is" condition.

Rural Municipality of South Cypress adopt the rental rates and conditions
for the year 2002, for specified Municipal labour, equipment and materials
as set out in Schedule "A", attached hereto and forming part of
this resolution.

Rural Municipality of South Cypress set the following rates for photocopying
with the Municipal office photocopier during the year 2002:
Ratepayers - $0.15 cents per copy
Clubs/Organizations - $0.15 cents per copy
Non-Ratepayers - $0.25 cents per copy

Rural Municipality of South Cypress set the rate of $0.50 per page for each
page faxed, to a Canadian or American destination, with the Municipalitys
fax machine during the year 2002.

Rural Municipality of South Cypress grant the Tiger Hills Arts Association
office space within the Municipal office building during the period
September 1, 2002 to September 1, 2003;
AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the
Council of The Rural Municipality of South Cypress value this gift-in-kind
at $1,200.00.

Rural Municipality of South Cypress award a $200.00 grant to the Tiger Hills
Festival of the Arts Planning Committee, to aid in its hosting of the annual
Festival which is to be held in Glenboro, Manitoba in the Spring of 2002.

Rural Municipality of South Cypress contribute a grant in the amount of
$100.00 to the Leafy Spurge stakeholders group c/o The Rural Development
Institute/ Brandon University, to aid with continuing research and
initiatives for the control of leafy spurge in Manitoba.

on January 23 & 24, 2002.
