Minutes of a “Special Meeting” of
the 2005/2006 Council of the Village of Glenboro held in the Village/Municipal
Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue, Glenboro, Manitoba on Tuesday, April 4,
2006 at 7:00 p.m. Notice was given in conformity with
Section 145(2) of The Municipal Act. Present at the Meeting: Mayor William R.
Shackel, Councillors Betty A. Christie, Loren H. Nelson, Robert G. Jewsbury,
Gerald R. Greenlay, Chief Administrative Officer Eric C. Plaetinck and Assistant
Chief Administrative Officer Darren J. Myers. Mayor William R. Shackel, presiding,
called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. The Meeting was called to deal with the following matters: Setting and adopting the Village’s Budgeted Operating Expenditures for fiscal year 2006. Setting and adopting of the Village’s 5 Year Capital Expenditure Program. A detailed analysis of each and every individual revenue and expenditure account of the Village was undertaken by the Council and the Chief Administrative Officer, throughout the course of the night’s meeting, with an estimated amount set for each account for fiscal year 2006. Upon conclusion of same Council agreed that a Financial Plan for the fiscal year 2006 would be presented at a public meeting, that is to be held on Tuesday April 11, 2006 at 8:00 p.m., which will reflect a total 2006 Village mill rate of 39.65 mills (a reserved 2.4% increase of 0.93 mills from 2005). It was also confirmed that Council will eliminate the customary ˝ of 1% tax on all Business assessments in the Village of Glenboro, effective the 2006 Tax Year.

of Glenboro do now adjourn @ 10:15 p.m., to convene again at the next regular
meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. “carried”
