Minutes of the eleventh regular meeting of the 2005/2006 Council of the Village of Glenboro 
held in the Village/Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue Glenboro, Manitoba 
on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.

 Present at the meeting: Mayor William R. Shackel, Councillors Loren H. Nelson, 
Gerald R. Greenlay, Robert G. Jewsbury, Chief Administrative Officer Eric C. Plaetinck 
and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Darren J. Myers.

Mayor William R. Shackel, presiding, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

#2006-119              B. Jewsbury – L. Nelson 

RESOLVED that the minutes of the last regular meeting of Council held on 
Tuesday, August 8, 2006 be taken as read and approved, all statutory requirements 
having been fulfilled.

#2006–120      G. Greenlay – B. Shackel                                               

RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro enter into an 
installation/service agreement with Manitoba Hydro to have an appropriate 
number of streetlights installed along Valmor Road.

 #2006-121            B. Jewsbury – G. Greenlay 

RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro appoint Councillor 
Loren Nelson and Village resident/ratepayer Lillian Duncan to act on the Board 
of the Glenboro/Wawanesa/South Cypress District Handi Transit Committee 
for the term September 12, 2006 to November 14, 2006                                                                                                                                                                                             “carried”

RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro authorize Mayor 
William Shackel to attend the Manitoba Cooperative Association seminar 
regarding “Health Care Co-ops” being held in Winnipeg, Manitoba on 
Friday September 22, 2006.

RESOLVED that the Property Assessments as listed under Schedule “B” 
be added to the Village of Glenboro’s 2006 Assessment Roll under the
 authority of Section 321(1) of the Municipal Act; 

AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the additional taxes thereon 
as set out in Schedule “C” be added to their respective property within 
the Village of Glenboro, as added taxes for year 2006 under the authority 
of Section 321(1) of the Municipal Act.

#2006-124            G. Greenlay – L. Nelson 

RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro authorize the 
payment of fiscal year 2006 accounts from Cheque #1190 to and including 
Cheque #1217 and Cheque #1219 to and including Cheque #1228 amounting 
to a total of $62,019.30 as fully detailed to Council by the Assistant CAO.

  Prior to the presentation of resolution #2006-125 and the associated subject, 
Councillor Loren Nelson, having a personal interest in the matter, withdrew from 
Council Chambers, not returning until after the vote on said resolution.

RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro authorize the 
payment of fiscal year 2006 account/cheque #1218 in the amount of $736.47, 
as submitted to Council by the Assistant C.A.O.

RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro do now adjourn 
at 8:58 p.m. to convene again at the next regular meeting scheduled for 
Tuesday October 10, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
