Minutes of the ninth regular meeting of the 2006/2007 Council of the Village of Glenboro held in the Village/Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue Glenboro, Manitoba on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Present at the meeting: Mayor William R. Shackel, Councillors Loren H. Nelson, Robert G. Jewsbury, Steve R. Bjornson, Robert J. Gudnason, Chief Administrative Officer Eric C. Plaetinck and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Darren J. Myers. Mayor William R. Shackel, presiding,
called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. RESOLVED
that the minutes of the last regular meeting of Council held on Tuesday, June
12, 2007 be taken as read and approved, all statutory requirements having been
fulfilled.
“carried” Prior
to the presentation of following resolution and the associated subject,
Councillor Steve Bjornson, having a personal interest in the matter, withdrew
from the Council Chambers, not returning until after the vote on said
resolution.
RESOLVED that the Council of the
Village of Glenboro accept the tender submitted by Bjorn Enterprises of Glenboro,
Manitoba for the replacement of approximately 200 feet of sidewalk on the south
and east side of the Lutheran Church in the Village of Glenboro less the cost of
the 2’ x 11’ and 6’ x 13’ sections listed below; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the
2’ x 11’ and 6’a x 13’ private sections to the south and main entrance
to the Church be the financial responsibility of the Glenboro Lutheran Church.
RESOLVED that the Council of
the Village of Glenboro conduct its’ Board of Revision for the 2008 Assessment
Roll on Monday October 15, 2007 commencing at 8:00 p.m.
“carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the
Village of Glenboro jointly with the Rural Municipality of South Cypress enter
into a renewed agreement with the Manitoba Association for Resource Recovery
Corporation for the Used Lubricating Product Stewardship Plan (EcoCentre) for
the further 3 year term August 1, 2007 to July 31, 2010 as per terms and
conditions specified in a respective agreement dated July 10th, 2007.
“carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the
Village of Glenboro accept and approve the audited financial statement and
supplementary audit report for the Village of Glenboro for fiscal year ending
December 31, 2006 as prepared and submitted by the chartered accounting firm of
BDO Dunwoody of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
“carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro authorize the payment of fiscal year 2007 accounts from cheque #1727 to cheque #1755 and cheque #1757 to and including cheque #1763 amounting to a total of $28,938.36 as fully detailed to Council by the assistant C.A.O.
“carried” Prior to the presentation of
following resolution and the associated subject, Councillor Loren Nelson, having
a personal interest in the matter, withdrew from the Council chambers, not
returning until after the vote on said resolution. RESOLVED that the Council of the
Village of Glenboro authorize the payment of fiscal year 2007 account/cheque
#1756 amounting to $9.22 as submitted to Council by the Assistant C.A.O.
“carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the
Village of Glenboro do now adjourn at 9:05 p.m. to convene again for the next
regular meeting of Council scheduled for Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
