Minutes of the inaugural and first regular meeting of the 2007/2008 Council of the Village of Glenboro held in the Village/Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue Glenboro, Manitoba on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Present
at the meeting: Mayor William R. Shackel, Councillors Robert J. Gudnason, Robert
G. Jewsbury, Steve R. Bjornson and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Darren
J. Myers.
Prior to the commencement of the
meeting, in accordance with Section 101(1) of the Municipal Act, the Mayor and
all Councillors present each made and subscribed a Declaration of Qualification
and Declaration of Office. Mayor William R. Shackel, presiding, called the meeting to order at 6:59 p.m. RESOLVED that the minutes of the last
regular meeting of Council held on Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 be
taken as read and approved, all statutory requirements having been fulfilled.

the Village of Glenboro meet regularly at the Village/Municipal Office at 618
Railway Avenue Glenboro, Manitoba on the second Tuesday in each month commencing
at 7:00 p.m. or at an alternate time as deemed necessary. “carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Village
of Glenboro officially appoint the following persons as members of the Glenboro/South
Cypress Fire Department for the period November 13th, 2007 to

(Cancellation of taxes and or monies owing to the Village of Glenboro). “carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro accept the tender submitted by Petals and Presents of Glenboro, Manitoba for the supply and planting of flowers in the Village of Glenboro for the summer of 2008 at and for the quoted price. “carried”
RESOLVED that the Council of the Village
of Glenboro authorize a grant of $500.00 to assist the Glenboro Community
Development Corporation with the cost of advertising completed this past spring
to promote the Glenboro area.
“carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Village
of Glenboro support the Glenboro Curling Club by retaining advertising space at
the club during the 2007/2008 season at a cost of $25.00. “carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro award a grant in the amount of $50.00 to the Glenboro UCT to assist in offsetting the costs of hosting the Santa Claus Parade of Lights in the Village of Glenboro December 1, 2007. “carried” RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro authorize the payment of fiscal year 2007 accounts from cheque # 1889 to and including cheque #1931 amounting to a total of $52,341.19 as fully detailed to Council by the Assistant CAO.
