Minutes of a “Special Meeting” of the 2008/2009 Council of the Village of Glenboro held in the Village/Municipal Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue, Glenboro, Manitoba on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Notice was given in conformity with Section 145(2) of The Municipal Act. Present at the Meeting: Mayor William R. Shackel, Councillors Loren H. Nelson, Robert G. Jewsbury, Steve R. Bjornson, Chief Administrative Officer Eric C. Plaetinck and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Darren J. Myers. Mayor William R. Shackel, presiding, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Meeting was called to deal with the following matters: Setting and adopting the Village’s Budgeted Operating Expenditures for fiscal year 2009. Setting and adopting of the
Village’s 5 Year Capital Expenditure Program. A detailed analysis of each and every individual revenue and expenditure account of the Village was undertaken by the Council, the Chief Administrative Officer and the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer throughout the course of the night’s meeting, with an estimated amount set for each account for fiscal year 2009. Upon conclusion of same Council agreed that a Financial Plan for the Village of Glenboro for fiscal year 2009 will be presented at a public meeting on Tuesday April 14th, 2009 at 8:00 p.m., which will reflect a total 2009 Village mill rate of 43.73 mills (an increase of 3.0%).
RESOLVED that the Council of the Village
of Glenboro do now adjourn @ 9:06 p.m., to convene again at the next regular
meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. “carried”
