Minutes of a “Special Meeting” of
the 2009/2010 Council of the Village of Glenboro held in the Village/Municipal
Council Chambers at 618 Railway Avenue, Glenboro, Manitoba on Tuesday, April 6,
2010 at 7:00 p.m. Notice was given in conformity with
Section 145(2) of The Municipal Act. Present at the Meeting: Mayor William R. Shackel, Councillors Loren H. Nelson, Robert G. Jewsbury, Steve R. Bjornson, Wayne C. Davidson, Chief Administrative Officer Eric C. Plaetinck and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Darren J. Myers. Mayor William R. Shackel,
presiding, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
The Meeting was called to deal with the following matters: Setting and adopting the Village’s
Budgeted Operating Expenditures for fiscal year
2010. Setting and adopting of the Village’s
5 Year Capital Expenditure Program. Review applications for the position of
Manager of the Glenboro Youth Job Centre. A detailed analysis of each and every
individual revenue and expenditure account of the Village was undertaken by the
Council, the Chief Administrative Officer and the Assistant Chief Administrative
Officer throughout the course of the night’s meeting, with an estimated amount
set for each account for fiscal year 2010.
Upon conclusion of same Council agreed that a Financial Plan for the
Village of Glenboro for fiscal year 2010 will be presented at a public meeting
on Monday April 12th, 2010 at 8:00 p.m., which will reflect a total
2010 Village mill rate of 41.46 mills, a reduction of 2.29 mills from the 2009
Village mill rate. Prior to the presentation of resolution
#2010-064 and the associated subject, Assistant C.A.O. Darren Myers, having a
personal interest in the matter, withdrew from the Council Chambers, not
returning until after the vote on said resolution. RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro accept the student employment application submitted by Matthew Myers of Glenboro, Manitoba for the position of Manager of the Glenboro Youth Job Centre for the period May 3 to August 13, 2010 subject to the terms and conditions specified in the 2010 employment contract. RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Glenboro do now adjourn @ 9:45 p.m., to convene again at the next regular meeting scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
