YARD WASTE / GARBAGE PICK UP
Beginning Friday, May 13th, 2022, and continuing until November 4th, 2022, the Municipality will resume yard waste and garbage pick-up in Ward 4 (Glenboro) on both Tuesdays and Fridays. Bags must be placed at the curb by 8:00 a.m.
All yard waste must be bagged as this helps to control dust and mould that causes health concerns. It will not be picked up if placed loosely in containers.
Due to extensive provincial regulations, composting is not available at the Waste Transfer Station. All yard waste picked up will be placed in the household garbage bins at the Waste Transfer Station which in turn adds to transfer costs. As a result, residents and ratepayers are strongly encouraged to compost grass clippings etc….to help keep costs to a minimum.
Residents and ratepayers may continue to haul DRY leaves, sticks etc. to the Waste Transfer Station and place them in the pit.
